After integrating the Studio-hosted MCP Server, what truly determines how well it works is not how many tools are available, but whether you have placed it in the right workflow.

Treat MCP as a "Structured Operations Layer," Not a Page Proxy
MCP is best at structured actions, such as:
- Listing catalogs
- Querying tasks

- Querying instances
- Querying logs
These actions have clear inputs and outputs, which makes them well suited for an Agent.
But if an action fundamentally depends on visual judgment, graphical confirmation, or drag-and-drop editing, the page is still more appropriate. The better approach is not "either/or" — it is:

Let the Agent Draft First, Then Decide Whether to Publish

- Read the task instance details.
- Check the attempts under that instance.
- Read the attempt logs.
- Then decide whether to return to the page for deeper investigation.
The benefits of this approach:
- Narrow down the problem scope first.
- Get structured facts first.
- Then decide whether human involvement in more complex UI investigation is needed.
For many simple SQL tasks, this single round is enough to resolve the issue.
Reserve Clear Catalog Boundaries for the Agent
If you plan to have the Agent regularly create tasks, experimental tasks, or temporary investigation tasks, set aside a dedicated catalog for it.
For example:
- Temporary development catalog
- Validation catalog
- Agent experiment catalog

- Keeps test tasks out of the official catalogs.

Recommended Daily Usage Path
Start with the following path:
- Have the Agent survey the current environment and objects.
- Have the Agent create or read the target task.
- Have the Agent write or update the task content.
- Have the Agent read and fill in the basic configuration.
- Have the Agent run a temporary execution.
- Have the Agent pull back the instance, attempts, and logs.
- Finally, you decide whether to publish and whether to make fine-tuned adjustments in the page.

- Every step can be verified by reading back.
