August 7, 2024 Lakehouse Studio Release Notes

In this release (Release 2024.08.07), we have introduced a series of new features, enhancements, and fixes. Please note that these updates will be gradually rolled out to the following regions, and the updates will be completed within one to two weeks from the release date, depending on your region.

New Features

• Product Global: AWS marketplace integration completed.
• Product Global: Added a guided tutorial for new users to quickly get started with the product.
• Account Center: Added discount and post-discount consumption items to the billing statement.
• Task Development: In the scheduling configuration, added the "Instance Waiting Time" configuration item. Supports users to configure automatic cancellation or failure for long-waiting instances to avoid a large number of task instances piling up.
• Data Assets: For data upload functionality, added character set type options for csv/txt file formats, supporting both UDF-8 and GBK recognition methods.

Optimizations and Improvements

• Data Synchronization: In the DDL of automatic table creation for data synchronization, automatically determine the target field data type based on the source data type.
• Data Synchronization: In real-time synchronization, optimized the behavior of creating multiple virtual tables when adding tables in multi-table merge mode, improving the efficiency of adding tables.
• Data Synchronization: Added the ability to automatically recognize partition tables in offline synchronization and default fill the built-in parameter bizdate.
• Task Development: Adjusted the default built-in parameter to bizdate, and automatically convert the bizdate parameter information to a specific date during temporary runs.
• Operations Center: Optimized the display information on the task details page, providing statistical views based on different granularities of year/month/day.
• Data Assets: Optimized the display form of table descriptions in data management, highlighting the information.

Bug Fixes

• Data Upload: For decimal type, support null character upload.
