May 15, 2024 Lakehouse Studio Release Notes

This release (Release 2024.05.15) introduces a series of new features, enhancements, and fixes. Please note that these updates will be gradually rolled out to the following regions in phases, and the updates will be completed within one to two weeks from the release date, depending on your region.

Incompatible Changes

Real-time synchronization no longer supports creating new "full incremental integrated synchronization" tasks. You can use the "multi-table real-time synchronization" task type with higher real-time performance as a replacement.

New Features

Global: Comprehensive multi-cloud capability support, allowing the creation of instances in multiple regions under one instance, such as opening Alibaba Cloud Shanghai and AWS Beijing simultaneously.
Data Synchronization: Kafka data source configuration now supports SASL_SSL/PLAIN protocol authentication.
Data Sources: Mysql and PostgreSQL data source types support batch creation.
Data Assets: Added exposure of Dynamic Table data object type.

Optimizations and Improvements

Real-time Synchronization: Optimized the full synchronization method when adding new data tables in sharding and partitioning synchronization.
Real-time Synchronization: Optimized the slot creation method when configuring PostgreSQL data source synchronization tasks.

Bug Fixes

Billing Page: Updated the usage units for storage and network to GB.
Operations Center: Fixed the issue where filtering by "end time" in instance operations was ineffective.
Security Center: Fixed the issue where disabled users could be added to workspaces and granted roles.

Known Limitations

Data Sources: Batch creation of data sources currently only supports Mysql and PostgreSQL types.
